TRENDING SUMMER 2021 ACCESSORIES
I don’t know about you, but I have been seeing TONS of accessory trends for summer 2021 all over Instagram, Tik Tok, and Pinterest. I’ve noticed that a lot of these trends are incorporating lots of bright and fun colors, which can make just a simple jean shorts and cropped tank outfit much more elevated. I’m usually a very simple girl when it comes to accessories, and I stick with neutrals, so I am nervous to add a bit of color to my accessories, but also interested to see if I’ll like it more than I expected. I have been eager to try out a trend or two, but not sure where I should start. Thankfully, Mad Hatter and Coco and Dani keep up with the trends of the summer, and I can gradually introduce myself to the hottest new styles.
BEADS and CHARMS
Every single trendy girl has been seen sporting some sort of accessory with beaded detailing, mostly with their jewelry. Sometimes I’m afraid I will look like a child if I decided to wear beaded jewelry, but that also might just be me in my head since I’m used to sporting simple gold jewelry all the time. Luckily, Coco and Dani has beaded pieces that are subtle for the ones who are just starting to rock this trend, and more statement pieces for the people who love this trend and are not afraid to show it! The All Around You Evil Eye Bracelet is one of my favorites, because it is so simple and can easily be layered. I’ve also been seeing evil eyes everywhere, so that’s two trends in just one piece! I feel like this is a piece that won’t go out of style. I also think the Sweet Cherry Beaded Earrings are a cute take on the trend. They are still small and not super bold, but the perfect pop of color. Not to mention they are just so adorable! And if you’re ready to make more of a statement, I love the Gia Dangle Earrings. These pair perfectly with a simple summer outfit when you want to dress it up a little. And they come in a few different colors, so you can decide which one you like the best!
HATS (BASEBALL, BUCKET, TRUCKER)
I will say I have always been a fan of hats, but have only owned baseball hats. Although bucket hats have been in style for a few years now, trucker hats are now all the rage. Hats are the perfect accessory to wear on a bad hair day, or when you haven’t had the energy to give it a good wash. They also help protect your face from the sun and prevent skin damage! I love the Zip Code Delco Hats because they are more personal, and it’s not viral on social media like Yankees and Dodgers hats. They come in such cute colors, and you can show some Delco love! I think that the Designer Bucket Hats are to die for! They are super unique and add the cutest touch to just a plain bucket hat. Also, I feel like they make each outfit look 10x cuter. Recently I have been seeing trucker hats everywhere on social media. While some hats are very bright and shaped a little wide, the Girl Mom Trucker Hat is subtle. I think this is a good way for “girl moms” to try out the trend!
HAIR CLAW CLIPS
Hair clips have been trending not just this summer, but for a few months now. And I have still yet to try it! I usually always just wear my hair down, occasionally in a ponytail if I want it out of my face. I have been wanting to try to wear my hair this way, because I feel that everyone I see with this hairstyle looks adorable! And I’ve noticed that this hairstyle isn’t just for casual days, but you can dress it up with a nicer outfit! I love the pattern on the Tortoise Hair Claw Clips, because it’s a nice added touch to a simple outfit. Also, since it’s a neutral color, you can wear it with literally any outfit, no matter what color you’re wearing.
While bright and neon colors have been trending, I have also seen people rocking lots of pastels. I like this trend because, as I’ve mentioned above, I usually stick to neutrals. So if I want to be trendy and add color to my outfit, I think pastels are a good way to see if I even like color. And Coco and Dani has a couple earrings that subtly take part in this trend. The Pastel Huggies are such a simple added detail, and perfect for those people afraid to do something out of their comfort zone. They don’t make a huge statement, but that means you can wear them with many different outfits, either casual or dressy. And I don’t think you have to limit these just to the summer months; you can get use out of them all year round. If you are more into dangle earrings, and if you’re more a silver person than gold, the Dani Crystal Drop Earrings are perfect for you! These earrings have silver hardware with a few pastel rhinestones at the end. Again, these are cute and subtle for those who just want to test out this trend a little bit. Personally, I love the linear shape of them, and that they are not too chunky or big.
I have to admit I love this trend and am all for it. Gold chains are so timeless and will never go out of style. Also they are the perfect layering pieces to give some dimension to your jewelry. I also love that there are so many different chains that vary in shape and thickness, so there is a chain for everyone out there! I think Coco and Dani’s Link Chain is the cutest gold chain. It’s more of a paperclip shaped link, but I personally love that look. And the beauty of this piece is that you can buy it as a necklace or a bracelet! You can also decide how long or short you want it, especially since you might be layering it with other pieces. The Jasper Chain is very similar to the Link Chain, just in a different shape. This chain has a more circular pattern, which is more simple I would say. All the same qualities apply to this item, like being able to choose the length and if you want it as a bracelet or necklace. Something a little more bolder that I love a lot is the Athena Chain. I like the look of a thicker gold chain with certain outfits, because I feel like people’s eyes are drawn to it. And since dainty chains are trending so much, I love to see someone rock something more bold.
Hope you enjoyed the short version of what trends are hot this summer. We would love to know what trends you are loving right now, and what you hope is not just a trend, but is something that will last for more than just one season ;) .
